What you'll learn

  • What the web dashboard is and why it's useful even when you're at home
  • How to enable it for your server with no router setup, using a free Cloudflare tunnel
  • How to invite other people with role-based access (admin, operator, viewer)
  • The difference between the web dashboard (admin) and Relay Pro (player connections)

What the web dashboard does

The web dashboard is a small management panel you can open in any browser, on your phone, your laptop at work, your tablet on the sofa. From it you can:

  • See if the server is running, the player count, CPU and RAM usage, TPS
  • Start, stop or restart the server
  • Run console commands and read the live console output
  • Manage who else can access it, with role-based access

It's built on a Cloudflare Tunnel, which means there's no port to open on your router and your home IP isn't exposed. The connection from your PC to Cloudflare is outbound, so it works on any home internet, including connections that block port forwarding.

The web dashboard is for you, not for players. Players still connect to your Minecraft server using your IP, UPnP, or Relay Pro. The dashboard is admin only.

Step 1: Sign in to MC Server Manager

The web dashboard is a feature of MC Server Manager Standard. If you're on Lite, you'll need to upgrade once (one-time £1.99) to use it. Once signed in, MC Server Manager pairs the desktop app to your account so it can talk to the dashboard service.

Step 2: Enable the dashboard for a server

  1. Open MC Server Manager
  2. Select the server you want to manage remotely
  3. Go to the Network or Dashboard section
  4. Toggle Web Dashboard on

The first time you do this, the app sets up a free Cloudflare Tunnel for you. You don't need a Cloudflare account, the app handles it. Once it's ready, you'll see your dashboard URL, something like https://yourname.mcservermanager.com/dashboard.

Bookmark the URL. It doesn't change unless you reset it, so once it's set up you can open it from any browser, anywhere.

Step 3: Open the dashboard

Visit mcservermanager.com/dashboard in any browser, sign in with your account, and your server appears in the list. Click in to see live stats and controls.

Step 4: Invite other admins (optional)

If you have co-admins or people you trust to help moderate, you can give them dashboard access without sharing your account.

  1. In the dashboard, open the Users or Roles section
  2. Add the person's email address
  3. Pick a role:
    • Admin, full control including starting and stopping
    • Operator, can run commands but not stop the server
    • Viewer, read-only stats and console
  4. They'll get an invite to sign up and link their account

What happens if my PC goes offline?

The dashboard goes offline too, since it's just a remote view of the server running on your PC. When your PC comes back online and MC Server Manager starts, the tunnel reconnects automatically. Your URL stays the same, so any bookmarks or invited admins still work.

FAQ

Is this safe to leave running?

Yes. The Cloudflare Tunnel is outbound only, your router and home IP aren't exposed at all. Sign-in uses your MC Server Manager account, so randoms can't load your dashboard URL and start stopping things.

Does the dashboard work for Bedrock servers too?

Yes. The same dashboard manages both Java and Bedrock servers. Stats, console, controls, all the same.

Can I use my own domain?

Currently the dashboard runs on yourname.mcservermanager.com. Custom domains are on the roadmap.

What's the difference between this and Relay Pro?

The dashboard is for you to manage your server from a browser. Relay Pro is for your players to connect to your server in Minecraft. Different purposes, both built into the app, you can use either one or both.
