Works Great!

I was using MCBDS Server Manager before, and it crashed after 4 days of leaving it alone. It forced the mods off of the world; it wouldn't let me put them back on. On top of the Web API not working, I switched to MC Server Manager and haven't had any issues whatsoever. It does full backups and doesn't crash if you leave it alone for a week. The web dashboard is amazing, giving full control over the server from anywhere.

MC Server Manager has greatly simplified my whole MC set-up. I don't do much with mods, etc. But it is sooo nice to not have to manage the manual update process of a Minecraft Bedrock Server. There's no window to click on Linux. It runs as a background service on a machine you already own and you manage it from the web dashboard in any browser, so a headless box or a VPS is fine.

Is MC Server Manager free?

The Lite version is completely free and includes most features. Standard is £1.99 once. It removes the session limit and the server and RAM caps and adds the remote web dashboard, scheduled restarts, Discord webhooks, automatic backups and proxy networks. You don't have to buy it separately either, any relay subscription from £1.50 a month includes it while it runs.

Does MC Server Manager work on Windows?

Yes. The desktop app is built for Windows 10 and Windows 11, a native app with no command line and no Docker. It's on the Microsoft Store and as a direct download.

Does MC Server Manager work on Linux or Mac?

Linux yes, Mac no. MC Server Manager for Linux runs the same engine as a background service on a Linux machine you own, managed from the web dashboard instead of a window, for £12 a year and up to three machines. There's no Mac version. The web dashboard itself works in any browser on any device, so you can manage servers from a phone, tablet or Mac once they're running on a Windows PC or Linux box.

What's the session time limit on Lite?

Lite runs servers in sessions of up to 6 hours, then waits 2 hours before the next one. Standard has no session limits, your servers can run 24/7. A few features are Standard only: the remote web dashboard, scheduled restarts, Discord webhooks, automatic backups on stop and proxy networks.

Can I run multiple servers at the same time?

Yes. Lite supports up to 3 simultaneous servers. Standard has no server limit. The app automatically detects port conflicts to prevent issues.

Do I need to install Java separately?

No. The app automatically detects installed Java versions and offers to download the correct one if it's missing, always the right version for your Minecraft release.

Can friends connect from outside my network?

Yes. The app auto-forwards your port via UPnP so friends can join without touching your router. For hiding your home IP, Relay Pro routes traffic through a protected server so players never see your address. You can also manually port forward if needed.

What Minecraft server types are supported?

MC Server Manager supports Java Edition (Vanilla, Paper, Spigot, Forge, Fabric, NeoForge), Bedrock Edition and proxy networks (Velocity and BungeeCord). Every major server type in one app.

What happens when my server crashes?

If the process just died, the app restarts it. If it keeps crashing, press Diagnose this crash in the Console tab and the app reads the crash report and the log and tells you what broke in plain words: a broken mod, the wrong Java version, a port already in use, not enough RAM. Where the fix is safe there's one button, like "Disable that mod and start again" or "Switch to Java 21 and start again". Standard includes 20 diagnoses, Lite 5, any subscription adds 20 a month and packs of 50 are £1.99. Your IP, player names and file paths are stripped from the report before it leaves your PC.

Does the app collect my data?
